I reserve a few slots for sliding scale. Please inquire if this is something you are interested in and/or need. Access to care is important to me, if I am unable to meet you financial need I am happy to help connect you to resources that are. I accept cash, check, credit card, and Health Savings Accounts.
INSURANCE
PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST INSURANCE PLANS DO NOT COVER COUPLES THERAPY. I am no longer taking insurance for couples. You may be able to use an HSA card for services or send a Superbill (I provide) to see if they will provide reimbursement for couples therapy.
I am an In-Network provider with:
PacificSource Commercial Plans
Aetna
Providence
Select Health
I am currently considered an Out-of-Network Provider for all other insurance plans. Most insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis that stays on your permanent health care record in order to receive counseling. This usually dictates how many sessions you are able to receive for coverage. If your insurance will accept out of network providers, Evolve and Empower Counseling will provide you with a receipt/superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please know that while doing so avoids the issues of confidentiality and treatment interference from your insurance, they will still require a medically necessary, mental health diagnosis.
Work with your insurance company to clarify your coverage policy by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
How many sessions are covered?
Do I have a copay or need to meet a deductible?
Is Telehealth covered?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Do my benefits cover sessions with an LPC in OR?
Idaho clients - are LCPC's who are licensed in ID but live in another state covered?
Do my benefits cover couples counseling, and are those 50 minute sessions or 80 minute sessions?
